Cyberport, Hong Kong’s leading innovation hub, has shown its commitment to supporting start-up incubation in Indonesia. At the "Think Business, Think Hong Kong" (TBTHK) Symposium in Jakarta, Cyberport led a delegation of 14 start-ups from Hong Kong to explore business opportunities in ASEAN, particularly in Indonesia.
Cyberport introduced a range of innovative tech solutions aimed at driving digital transformation in Indonesia. Notably, three Hong Kong-based start-ups signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Indonesian companies, marking a significant step in fostering collaboration in advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Web 3.0.
Simon Chan, Chairman of Cyberport, emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between Hong Kong and Indonesia. "We are thrilled to see our start-ups form partnerships with Indonesian companies. This is a vital step in bringing Hong Kong's technological innovations to the ASEAN market," Chan said.
As part of the TBTHK event, Cyberport also hosted a session titled "Building for the Future," where experts and industry leaders discussed the vast potential of digital economy development and smart cities. The discussions focused on advanced technology integration for sustainability and the role of education in building a tech-savvy community.
During the event, several Cyberport start-ups signed agreements with Indonesian companies. Coded Solutions Limited, for instance, partnered with Bestintek Internos Global to develop Web3.0-based loyalty programs. Additionally, Votee AI teamed up with PT Creo Sinergi to introduce AI technology across various industries in Indonesia.
Cyberport remains committed to supporting Hong Kong’s start-ups as they expand globally, particularly in the ASEAN market. Over 80 Cyberport start-ups have already established a presence in ASEAN countries like Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
Through initiatives like these, Cyberport is not only introducing Hong Kong's technological innovations but also reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a leading hub for digitalization and business transformation in Southeast Asia.
