At the forum, Lintasarta introduced Bandwidth on Demand (BWoD), a connectivity solution that allows banks to adjust bandwidth capacity flexibly and independently.

BWoD has three main capabilities: High Bandwidth of up to 1 Gbps in areas with technical readiness, Scale on Demand to increase or reduce capacity, and Self Service through the ULTIMA Super App.

Lintasarta President Director & CEO Armand Hermawan said banking digitalization requires infrastructure that can respond quickly to changing business needs.

“Digital infrastructure is not enough to have large capacity, but must be able to adapt quickly, flexibly, and measurably,” Armand said.

According to Armand, banking capacity can change during month-end and year-end closing, payroll processing, disaster recovery, application launches, and unexpected situations.

Therefore, connectivity needs to develop from fixed infrastructure into a more adaptive model.

This transformation requires four key capabilities: Agile to respond to changes, Scalable to adjust capacity, Resilient to maintain reliability, and Ready to face peak events, disaster recovery, and regulatory requirements.

Bandwidth on Demand Enables Flexible Connectivity

After the initial setup, BWoD allows subsequent bandwidth changes to be made independently through ULTIMA without manual ordering or a new installation.

Capacity can be adjusted based on the services already subscribed to, with support of up to 1,000 Mbps on certain tiers.

“We want to provide banks with the agility to manage connectivity capacity according to their operational needs,” Armand said.

Sophia Isabella Wattimena, a member of the OJK Board of Commissioners for the 2022-2026 period, highlighted the importance of strengthening technology infrastructure to support digital transformation in banking.

“Banking digital transformation needs to go hand in hand with strengthening technology infrastructure capabilities. Reliability, security, risk management, and the ability of infrastructure to support industry needs are becoming increasingly important.”
