PT Indonesia Digital Identity (Vida) has enabled taxpayers to use certified electronic signatures for filing their Annual Tax Returns on the Coretax platform (25/03).
The initiative is supported by an educational campaign titled “Lapor Coretax: Jangan PaNIK, Cukup Pakai NIK”, emphasizing the simplicity and security of using National Identity Numbers (NIK) for reporting.
“Through our system, we aim to make the reporting process easier for taxpayers, while ensuring the legality and security of their data,” said Niki Luhur, Founder and Group CEO of Vida, in a press release in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Vida, designated as a Penyelenggara Sertifikat Elektronik (PSrE) by the Ministry of Finance through KMK Number 584/2022, supports the Coretax system by providing legally valid and secure electronic signatures.
These signatures, integrated with verified NIKs, are fully recognized by both the Ministry of Finance and the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP).
Using a verified NIK, taxpayers receive a certified electronic signature that carries the same legal weight as a handwritten signature under Indonesia’s Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) Law.
This ensures compliance, legal validity, and data security for all tax reporting documents.
Vida focuses on three main priorities for taxpayers: integrating verified identities to streamline electronic signature workflows, guaranteeing legal compliance through PSrE authorization, and supporting national digital transformation by providing standardized electronic signature solutions accessible to all taxpayers.
