DANA Sustainability Report 2024: Digital Inclusion, Green Initiatives, and HIgh User Trust Results

DANA has released its inaugural Sustainability Report 2024, demonstrating the company’s commitment to transparency and long-term responsible business practices (15/12). The report reveals that each transaction in the DANA app produces only 0.14 grams of CO₂e, approximately 3 percent of the emissions from a typical email. This finding emphasizes that technological innovation can advance while maintaining environmental responsibility.

“Launching this first Sustainability Report is a significant milestone that reinforces DANA’s commitment to accountability and sustainable impact,” said Vince Iswara, CEO and Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia. “We hope this report not only summarizes achievements but also serves as a roadmap forward and strengthens our commitment to building a trusted, friendly, and accessible digital financial ecosystem.”

Digital Financial Inclusion Expands Across Indonesia

DANA’s report highlights the platform’s role in promoting financial inclusion. 43 percent of its users come from previously unbanked groups, while 86 percent are from Tier 2 to Tier 4 cities, showing the expansion of digital payment access to underserved regions.

The company also supports micro and ultra-micro businesses with simple merchant registration, fee waivers, and secure verification processes. Financial literacy initiatives such as SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya have assisted 9,000 women-owned and disability-led SMEs, combining financial access with community empowerment.

Strengthening Security and Customer Trust in 2024

To ensure safe digital transactions, DANA uses graph database analytics to detect suspicious connections in real time, maintaining a Rating A from Security Scorecard 2024.

Additional safety features include Smart Friction, Scam Checker, and Security Check-Up, with freeze and blacklist procedures. Collaboration with the Indonesia Anti-Scam Center (IASC) balances user convenience and protection. These measures contributed to a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 84.44 percent, above the global standard of 80 percent.

Eco-Friendly Operations and Inclusive Workplace Culture

DANA integrates sustainability into its internal operations through recycling and composting programs in partnership with Waste4Change and operating from a Green Mark GoldPlus-certified building in Singapore.

The company applies Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles to ensure merit-based opportunities and a supportive environment. Its DANACare program promotes work-life balance. In 2025, DANA earned Great Place to Work certification, with employee satisfaction at 84 percent.

Alignment with Global Sustainability Standards

The Sustainability Report 2024 follows Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Universal Standards, aligns with Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) guidelines for Software & IT Services, and supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The report covers all operations of DANA Group through 31 December 2024 and is available for download on the company’s website.
