The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) has urged the public to remain vigilant against fake websites impersonating Coretax, a service managed by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), Ministry of Finance (19/11).
“DJP reports several imitation websites displaying identities similar to Coretax, making them appear like official government sites,” said Alexander Sabar, Director General of Digital Space Supervision, in Jakarta.
These fraudulent sites can lead to the misuse of personal data and unauthorized exploitation of information.
Official Coretax Services Accessible Only via the DJP Website
Komdigi confirmed that all legitimate Coretax services can only be accessed through the official website coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id.
“We urge the public to always double-check the website address before entering any data. If it is not from the official domain mentioned above, do not proceed,” Alexander added.
Komdigi Strengthens Digital Monitoring to Prevent Fraud
As part of its regulatory duties under Ministerial Regulation No. 23 of 2013 on Domain Management, Komdigi supervises digital space to prevent misuse of government domains.
“We conduct oversight and evaluation of registrars, issue warning letters for violations in verification and validation of domains, and apply a whitelist to ensure only official domains are accessible to the public. Domains misusing government services will be blocked following existing regulations,” Alexander said.
Public Role in Safeguarding Online Tax Services
Komdigi continues to coordinate with DJP and related parties to maintain a safe and trustworthy government digital ecosystem. Citizens are encouraged to verify website addresses before accessing services and report suspicious sites through the official complaint channel at aduankonten.id.
