Samsung is gearing up for its 2025 Galaxy Unpacked event, set to take place on January 22 at 1:00 PM PST in San Jose, California. This much-anticipated event will showcase the latest in Samsung's flagship smartphone lineup, with the Galaxy S25 series expected to be revealed. While Samsung has yet to confirm the official name of the new series, it is widely speculated that the upcoming release will be the Galaxy S25 series.
As part of the launch, Samsung will also begin accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series, starting on January 23, 2025, at 1:00 AM WIB in Indonesia. However, Samsung has not disclosed further details on pre-order bonuses or mechanisms, which are likely to be announced soon.
In addition to the new Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is expected to unveil advancements in Galaxy AI, which will bring new features powered by artificial intelligence. According to Samsung, the evolution of Galaxy AI will significantly change the way users interact with their devices, setting a new standard for mobile AI capabilities.
Rumors and leaks about the Galaxy S25 series have been circulating ahead of the event. The series is expected to include the standard Galaxy S25 model, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, and potentially a slim version of the Galaxy S25. Among these, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has already had its design leaked, showing off a flat-frame design similar to that of the Galaxy A-series. However, the design is expected to remain similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Specifications for the Galaxy S25 Ultra have also surfaced, with the device reportedly featuring a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset or the Exynos 2500 for select regions. In terms of photography, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to have an impressive 200 MP H2 sensor for its main camera, accompanied by a 50 MP ultrawide camera, a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom, and another 50 MP telephoto camera with 5x zoom support. Additionally, the flagship will be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, 45W fast charging, WiFi 7 support, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Galaxy S25 series will run on Android 15, customized with Samsung’s One UI 7 interface. Although the pre-order page for the Galaxy S25 series has yet to appear on Samsung’s official site in Indonesia, the company is expected to release more information shortly.
