On December 24, 2024, Indonesia’s Vice Minister of Agriculture, Sudaryono, visited the PT Pindad facility in Bandung to review the company’s production of heavy equipment for supporting Indonesia's agricultural programs. He was welcomed by PT Pindad’s CEO, Sigit P. Santosa, along with Directors Hera Rosmiati (production) and Budhiarto (commercial), who presented their range of products.
During the visit, Sigit expressed Pindad’s commitment to supporting the Ministry of Agriculture's food security programs by providing locally produced agricultural machinery. He emphasized the importance of making these products sustainable, ensuring continuous sales, spare parts, and maintenance, which could extend beyond initial purchases. "We hope this discussion will help Pindad compete on the global market and become a key player in Indonesia's agricultural machinery industry," said Sigit.
Vice Minister Sudaryono acknowledged the importance of Pindad’s products, especially their heavy equipment, in the government's food self-sufficiency efforts. "Food self-sufficiency is a key priority of President Prabowo Subianto. This program requires significant machinery support. We want Pindad’s excavators and other equipment to help achieve this goal," Sudaryono said.
After hearing an overview of PT Pindad’s profile, Sudaryono and his team toured the production line. Sigit showcased the excavators, rotatanam, and tractors being produced, all critical components for the agriculture sector, which aims to improve food security across Indonesia.
