Pos Indonesia’s digital platform, Pospay, now supports international money transfers to over 50 countries, including major destinations such as Saudi Arabia, the United States, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This feature marks a significant evolution from Giro Pos, a longstanding financial service offered by the company.
Zuhed Nur, Senior Vice President of Consumer Business at Pos Indonesia, emphasized that this innovation reflects the company’s commitment to meeting modern digital demands. “The launch is a significant step forward in our digital transformation journey, allowing users to manage financial activities anytime and anywhere,” he stated.
The international transfer service is especially beneficial for Indonesian migrant workers looking to send money home. The platform offers two user tiers: Liteplus for transactions up to IDR 10 million and Regular for higher amounts. Transfers are powered by PT Dhanapatra Loka Abadi (Dhapat), a licensed financial service provider overseen by Bank Indonesia.
“Through Pospay, we ensure safe, reliable, and competitively priced cross-border transactions,” Zuhed added. Dhapat’s CEO, Bagus Widayatmo, echoed this sentiment, noting that the service is designed to be fast, transparent, and cost-effective, with real-time transfers available to various countries.
In addition to international transfers, Pospay provides a comprehensive suite of services, including domestic money transfers, bill payments, top-ups for electronic money, and traditional postal services such as package delivery. These features complement Pos Indonesia’s extensive network of offices, agents, and mobile postal services nationwide.
“Pospay users can send money domestically to other users, digital wallets, or any bank in Indonesia,” Zuhed explained. “This integration ensures a seamless financial experience for our customers.”
Pospay’s efforts align with Pos Indonesia’s goal to expand its user base, with a target of 10 million active users for its super app. By leveraging its robust infrastructure and trusted reputation, the company aims to redefine convenience and accessibility in financial services for both domestic and international transactions.
