Indonesia and China strengthened investment cooperation through the Two Countries Twin Parks (TCTP) Investment Promotion Conference, with new business commitments reaching around RMB19.4 billion, equivalent to approximately Rp51 trillion, in Xiamen, China (09/09).
The conference was held as part of the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) 2026 and brought together representatives of the Indonesian and Chinese governments, industrial park managers, and business communities.
With the latest commitments, the total value of business commitments under the TCTP framework has reached approximately Rp88.1 trillion. Previously, 30 MoUs had been signed with total business commitments of around Rp37.1 trillion.
Indonesia-China Investment Cooperation Strengthened Through TCTP
The Indonesian government is continuing to strengthen its strategic economic partnership with China, particularly through increased investment, industrial park development, and integration of supply chains between the two countries.
Deputy Coordinating Minister for Trade and Digital Economy Ali Murtopo Simbolon represented Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto at the conference.
“Two Countries Twin Parks cooperation is one of the strategic platforms to bring Indonesia-China economic relations to a more concrete level. This cooperation is not only aimed at increasing investment, but also at strengthening industrial connectivity, supply chains, technology transfer, and creating added value and employment in Indonesia,” Ali said in his remarks representing Airlangga.
The TCTP program is an industrial park development cooperation between Indonesia and China. The partnership was strengthened through the Indonesia-China Joint Statement on November 9, 2024.
It was followed by the Memorandum on Two Countries Twin Parks Cooperation Project, signed on May 25, 2025, between Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), and the Fujian Provincial Government.
Indonesia Promotes Industrial Park Investment Projects
During the investment promotion session, several Indonesian areas presented their investment potential and projects to Chinese investors.
They included Batang Industropolis Special Economic Zone, Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone, and Bintan Industrial Estate.
The conference also provided a platform for government representatives, industrial park managers, and businesses from Indonesia and China to meet through business-matching activities.
Indonesia’s participation in CIFIT 2026 and the TCTP Investment Promotion Conference was also used to expand networks with local governments, investment-promotion institutions, universities, and potential companies in China.
TCTP Commitments Reach Approximately Rp88.1 Trillion
Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Indonesian and Chinese businesses during the conference.
The agreements indicated business commitments of around RMB19.4 billion, or approximately Rp51 trillion.
Before the latest agreements, 30 MoUs had been signed under the development of the TCTP cooperation framework, representing total commitments of around Rp37.1 trillion.
The additional commitments brought the total value of business commitments under TCTP to approximately Rp88.1 trillion.
The Indonesian government said these commitments represent an initial stage that must continue to be monitored until they enter the implementation and investment realization stages.
Government to Follow Up Investment Commitments
The Indonesian government said it would continue facilitating communication among investors, industrial park managers, and relevant ministries and institutions to support the follow-up of the commitments.
“The most important thing after the signing is to ensure that every commitment can be followed up into concrete projects. The government will continue to facilitate communication between investors, industrial park managers, and relevant ministries and institutions so that investment obstacles can be resolved quickly and in a coordinated manner,” Ali said.
Indonesia and China will continue to develop TCTP as a results-oriented cooperation platform through stronger joint investment promotion, faster investment facilitation, cooperation between industrial parks, and implementation of projects supporting the economic and industrial transformation of both countries.
