BTN Net Profit Jumps 35.89% as Loans and Financing Reach Rp431.60 Trillion

PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) recorded consolidated net profit of Rp2.71 trillion through August 2026, up 35.89% year-on-year from Rp1.99 trillion in the same period last year. (16/09)

The increase was supported by consolidated loans and financing, which reached Rp431.60 trillion, growing 14.98% year-on-year from Rp375.38 trillion in August 2025.

Consolidated assets also grew 16.60% year-on-year to Rp561.84 trillion from Rp481.85 trillion.

BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu said the growth strengthened the bank’s capacity to perform its intermediation role and expand access to housing financing.

“This growth gives BTN room to reach more financing needs, not only for people who want to own a home, but also for all players in the housing ecosystem. We want BTN’s business growth to have an increasingly broad impact on the housing sector and the economy,” Nixon said.

Loans and Financing Reach Rp431.60 Trillion

BTN has strengthened its role in the housing ecosystem through financing on both the supply and demand sides.

Through the Housing Financing Program, or Kredit Program Perumahan (KPP), BTN has distributed cumulative financing of Rp7.4 trillion since the program was launched.

The amount consists of Rp5.4 trillion in KPP Supply financing and Rp2.0 trillion in KPP Demand financing.

On the homeownership side, BTN continued to support financing schemes aimed at improving affordability.

In August 2026, BTN supported the development of the Manggarai Transit Oriented Development (TOD) housing project, which is planned to provide 3,784 housing units across eight towers and is integrated with public transportation.

BTN also sought to connect housing supply with community demand through the Danantara Housing Expo 2026.

The exhibition presented more than 120,000 property options from more than 130 state-owned and private developers, as well as access to various housing financing schemes.

BTN Expands Housing Financing

The expansion of loans and financing was supported by growth in third-party funds, known as Dana Pihak Ketiga (DPK).

As of August 2026, BTN’s consolidated DPK, including BSN, reached Rp446.06 trillion, up 11.11% year-on-year from Rp401.45 trillion in August 2025.

The DPK consisted of Rp174.29 trillion in current accounts, Rp46.72 trillion in savings and Rp225.05 trillion in deposits.

Third-Party Funds Grow 11.11%

BTN also maintained funding cost efficiency during the period.

Consolidated interest expenses through August 2026 declined 8.21% year-on-year to Rp11.28 trillion from approximately Rp12.29 trillion in the same period last year.

The lower interest expenses amid the expansion of intermediation supported BTN’s net profit growth.

“Going forward, we will maintain healthy loan and financing growth by strengthening funding and continuing to expand the reach of BTN and BSN services. With increasingly stronger fundamentals, our capacity to support housing financing needs will also become greater,” Nixon said.
