PT Yosun Tire and Rubber Indonesia, a Chinese foreign investment company, has committed Rp 4 trillion to build a tire factory at KEK Industropolis Batang in Central Java. The investment commitment was announced during the Central Java Investment Business Forum (CJIBF) 2026. (30/08)

General Manager of PT Yosun Tire and Rubber Indonesia Weng Jisheng said Indonesia has a strategic position in the company's business development.

“Indonesia has great potential and an important position in the development of our business. We see that KEK Industropolis Batang has a strategic location and a continuously developing industrial ecosystem. We believe Batang can become the right base to support our business development, including for export markets,” Weng said in a statement on Sunday (30/08/2026).

CJIBF 2026 Records Rp 19.07 Trillion in Investment Potential

Yosun Tire's investment commitment was one of the investments that emerged from business discussions during CJIBF 2026.

The forum was attended by around 400 participants and produced 74 meetings involving 36 business players. The meetings will be followed up through investment assistance.

The series of business discussions recorded potential investment worth Rp 19.07 trillion for Central Java.

Central Java Government Pushes Investment

Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi said the regional government would continue to promote an investment climate that provides convenience and certainty for businesses.

“Our task is to simplify permits, prepare land, maintain security, and guarantee certainty so that economic and business growth can develop in Central Java,” Luthfi said.

According to the Central Java provincial government, incoming investment is expected to create jobs, strengthen supply chains, increase human resource capacity, and open partnership opportunities for local businesses.

KEK Industropolis Batang Offers Integrated Industrial Facilities

KEK Industropolis Batang is an integrated industrial area that has been designated as a Special Economic Zone. The area combines industrial, logistics, commercial, residential, and supporting functions within one development.

The development of KEK Industropolis Batang covers three main themes: manufacturing, logistics, and tourism.

The area provides industrial land, ready-to-use factory buildings or standard factory buildings, modern warehouses, commercial land, commercial space, and residential facilities.

The area has direct access to the Trans-Java Toll Road and is connected to the national Pantura route. It is also supported by railway access and port facilities for logistics activities and industrial mobility.

Available utilities include clean water, wastewater treatment, electricity, gas, and telecommunications networks.

Director of Marketing and Development at KEK Industropolis Batang Angga Brahmana S said the area is being developed to meet increasingly diverse investor needs.

“For us, investment is not merely about land readiness. More importantly, it is about ensuring that investors receive an ecosystem that supports their industrial activities sustainably, starting from infrastructure, connectivity, to support while operating their businesses,” Angga said.

“Therefore, we continue to develop various products and facilities in the area to meet the needs of investors from various sectors and business scales,” he added.
