Danantara Reopens Waste-to-Energy Registration to Accelerate Indonesia's PSEL Projects Nationwide

PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), through its subsidiary PT Daya Energi Bersih Nusantara (Denera), has reopened registration for its Selected Providers List (DPT) as part of the prequalification process for its Waste-to-Energy (WtE) or Municipal Solid Waste to Electricity (PSEL) program in Indonesia (05/08).

The registration marks the next phase of the Waste-to-Energy program and is intended to support the development of PSEL projects across the country.

Danantara Invites Strategic Partners for the PSEL Program

Denera was established by DIM as an integrated waste management company to lead the development and implementation of PSEL projects throughout Indonesia.

The initiative supports Indonesia's efforts to address urban waste management challenges while building a cleaner energy mix.

It is based on Presidential Regulation No. 109 of 2025, which provides the regulatory basis for accelerating PSEL projects through environmentally friendly technology.

The new DPT registration follows two previous prequalification rounds that attracted companies from seven countries, showing international interest in Indonesia's Waste-to-Energy sector.

DIM and Denera are inviting companies and consortium members with experience in PSEL development, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), technology supply, operations and maintenance (O&M), project financing, and other related infrastructure services to participate in the selection process.

The program aims to identify partners with technical expertise, financing capacity, and long-term commitment to support the implementation of large-scale PSEL projects for sustainable waste management and Indonesia's clean energy transition.

Danantara Expands Its Partner Ecosystem

Fadli Rahman, Investment Director of Danantara Investment Management and CEO of Denera, said the expansion of the Selected Providers List reflects Danantara's commitment to building a strong and competitive partner ecosystem for Indonesia's long-term waste management transformation.

"Indonesia's waste management challenges cannot be solved through individual projects alone. A credible partner ecosystem with technology, financing capacity, operational capabilities, and long-term commitment is needed to execute projects on a large scale. Through the DPT registration, we are expanding this ecosystem while opening opportunities for more domestic and international businesses to bring their best experience and capabilities into Indonesia's PSEL program. Our priorities remain the same: strong partnerships, proven capabilities, and execution that delivers tangible impact on the ground," Fadli said.

IIF Handles Registration and Verification

PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) has been appointed as the Registration and Verification Agent for the DPT registration process.

Interested parties are required to contact IIF through the official DPT registration email to obtain the Registration Pack and guidance on the registration process.

The information includes the Expression of Interest (EOI) requirements, supporting documents, submission procedures, implementation schedule, and access to the virtual data room.

Registration Timeline and Important Notice

DIM stated that the DPT registration is a prequalification process intended only to identify and evaluate potential strategic partners for the Danantara PSEL program.

The process does not constitute a project award, partner appointment, contractual agreement, guarantee of selection, exclusive rights, or participation in any project.

DIM and Denera reserve the right to modify, clarify, supplement, suspend, postpone, extend, terminate, or make other changes to any aspect of the DPT registration process, including its scope, eligibility requirements, schedule, evaluation methodology, and documentation requirements. DIM, Denera, and IIF are not responsible for any costs, expenses, or losses incurred by prospective participants during the registration process.

As part of the outreach program, IIF will hold two Open Briefing sessions on 7 August 2026 to explain the registration process, application requirements, document submission procedures, required documents, and the use of the Intralinks Virtual Data Room.

The deadline for submitting the Expression of Interest (EOI) and the administrative fee is 13 August 2026.

Prospective participants are encouraged to begin the registration process early to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit the required documents.

The Registration Pack can be obtained by contacting the official DPT registration email.
