Indonesia's Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the Indonesian Retail Merchants Association (Aprindo) have agreed to waive listing fees, or administrative registration charges, for MSMEs supplying products to modern retail networks. The agreement was formalized through the signing of a partnership development cooperation agreement. (19/07)
Deputy Minister of MSMEs Helvi Moraza said the government is continuing to encourage MSMEs with quality products to expand beyond local markets and enter modern retail networks, the hospitality sector, industry, and digital markets.
"We want promising MSMEs not only to grow in local markets, but also to enter modern retail networks, the hospitality sector, industry, and digital marketplaces," Helvi said.
Listing Fee Waiver Aims to Improve Market Access
According to Helvi, the listing fee exemption is expected to expand market access and strengthen the competitiveness of micro-enterprises in the modern retail sector.
He added that the partnership between the Ministry of MSMEs and Aprindo implements Government Regulation No. 29 of 2021 on trade administration, which promotes stronger business partnerships and wider market access for micro-enterprises.
The administrative fee waiver is intended to provide MSMEs with more equal opportunities to enter the modern retail market while supporting business growth through partnerships with larger companies.
Aprindo Partnership Supports SME Expansion
Aprindo represents more than 500 modern retail companies across Indonesia.
The collaboration is expected to help MSMEs with quality products access broader marketing channels through the association's retail network.
Kumitra 2026 Facilitates Business Matching
During the Jambore Kumitra 2026 event at Teras Malioboro in Yogyakarta, the Ministry of MSMEs promoted stronger MSME development by expanding marketing access to large businesses and retail companies.
The ministry also organized digital literacy and technology capacity-building seminars through the Juragan UMKM program.
In addition, the ministry facilitated business matching sessions between MSME entrepreneurs and 10 large companies and national retail networks as part of the Kumitra program.
The activities recorded potential transaction commitments totaling Rp 7.155 billion.
"All of these efforts are part of the government's commitment to supporting the target of 10 million people becoming entrepreneurs and workers," Helvi said.
