Komdigi Awards DANA for Active Role in Reporting Online Gambling and Illegal Content

DANA Indonesia received an award from the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) for being the most active corporation in reporting illegal digital content through the Aduan Instansi platform (02/06).

The recognition highlights its consistent role in supporting the protection of Indonesia’s digital space.

The award was presented by the Directorate of Digital Space Control under Komdigi’s Directorate General of Digital Space Supervision. It was given in the category of corporations most active in reporting illegal online content.

Komdigi Strengthens Aduan Instansi to Tackle Illegal Online Content

Komdigi stated that the Aduan Instansi platform has been upgraded to a more advanced system that allows ministries, institutions, and corporations to report illegal content for takedown processes.

The platform is also used to handle content related to online gambling and other digital violations.

So far, Aduan Instansi has processed more than 9.2 million content reports, with most cases linked to online gambling activities.

DANA has been connected to the platform since 2024 and actively reports content that misuses its name and facilitates illegal activities, including websites, applications, and social media accounts.

DANA Strengthens Digital Protection Through Monitoring and Safety Features

DANA Indonesia stated that it applies risk-based monitoring systems supported by advanced technology to detect misuse of its services.

When suspicious activity is identified, DANA conducts internal analysis and escalation according to procedures, including mitigation actions such as service restrictions, transaction delays, or other measures in line with legal requirements and regulatory instructions.

DANA CEO & Co-Founder Vince Iswara said the recognition encourages the company to continue strengthening user protection as digital technology evolves.

“This award is proof that DANA remains committed to conducting digital literacy education, responding to suspicious activities, and supporting a healthy and trusted digital ecosystem,” Vince said.

Collaboration with Regulators and PPATK Reinforces Digital Security

Safriansyah Yanwar Rosyadi from Komdigi stated that digital space protection cannot be handled by a single institution.

“Such challenges cannot be handled by a single agency. It requires collaboration, fast coordination, and an effective, integrated, and accountable reporting system,” he said.

He added that cross-sector coordination is needed to ensure a safe, healthy, productive, and responsible digital space.

DANA also collaborates with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to meet reporting obligations and align internal processes with regulatory expectations.

Digital Literacy Programs and User Protection Expansion

Beyond enforcement actions, DANA also conducts financial and digital literacy programs to increase public awareness of digital risks.

One of its initiatives is the Mobile Assistance Post program, which operates across 36 cities in Indonesia to support reporting and user assistance.

DANA also provides DANA Protection features, including Scam Checker, which helps users verify suspicious numbers and links through integration with Komdigi’s reporting system.

The company also implements Smart Friction technology, a layered security system designed to increase user caution when sending funds to potentially risky accounts.

DANA emphasized that digital fraud remains a complex challenge requiring collaboration between regulators, industry players, media, communities, and the public to strengthen awareness and protection efforts.
