Cooperation Focused on Energy Transition and Connectivity

These efforts are expected to improve energy efficiency while also enhancing regional connectivity between Indonesia and Singapore.
Food Security and Economic Cooperation Expanded

Economic cooperation is also being expanded through the development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and sustainable industrial areas.
ASEAN Centrality Emphasized Amid Global Uncertainty
Both ministers highlighted the importance of ASEAN unity and centrality amid increasingly complex geopolitical dynamics.
They noted that global uncertainty, including pressure on energy routes and strategic trade, requires ASEAN to remain strong, stable, and responsive as a regional anchor.
Singapore is Indonesia’s largest foreign investor, reaching USD 17.4 billion in 2025, and a major ASEAN trading partner with a total trade of USD 32.86 billion. Tourist arrivals from Singapore also reached 1.52 million in 2025, reflecting strong bilateral connectivity.
