Inacraft 2026 Drives Indonesian SMEs as Exports Hit USD 305.54 Million

Indonesia’s handicraft exports reached USD 305.54 million in the third quarter of 2025, reflecting strong global demand for locally made products, the Ministry of Industry announced during Inacraft 2026 in Jakarta (15/02).

The exhibition was held at the Jakarta International Convention Center from February 4–8, 2026.

Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said Inacraft serves as a strategic platform for handicraft businesses to expand their markets domestically and internationally.

“Inacraft is a strategic platform for handicraft businesses to further expand their markets. The facilitation and guidance provided by the Ministry of Industry for SMEs is a form of appreciation and pride for domestic products, as well as an effort to open wider promotional opportunities for local SMEs,” he stated.

Eight SMEs Showcase Innovation and Cultural Diversity

Through its Directorate General of Small, Medium, and Miscellaneous Industries (IKMA), the ministry facilitated eight SMEs to participate in the exhibition.

The selected businesses were Karya Seni Tanduk, Lampung Ethnica, Manika Kaltim, Ragenda MOP Jewelry, Khyang Leather, Shamara, Kalaniwood, and D’moroy.

They presented products including horn crafts, accessories, pearl jewelry, woven natural fiber and leather bags, fashion and woven textiles, as well as recycled wood crafts that support environmental sustainability.

Director General of IKMA Reni Yanita said the ministry provided a shared island booth to strengthen visibility and market positioning.

“Ditjen IKMA facilitated the provision of a booth located in one island. We hope that with this support, SMEs can deploy their full potential by recording high sales and strengthening their position in national and global markets through market expansion,” she said.

Export Growth Shows Rising Global Competitiveness

Data from the ministry’s Data and Information Center recorded handicraft exports of USD 305.54 million in the third quarter of 2025, up significantly from USD 173.5 million in the previous quarter.

The increase indicates continued growth and competitiveness of Indonesian handicraft products in the global market.

“Local raw materials combined with artistic touch and design aspects produce high-value products. Therefore, we encourage SMEs to continue presenting innovative, creative products with strong character to enhance the appeal of Indonesian handicrafts in national and international markets,” Reni stated.

During Inacraft 2026, the eight facilitated SMEs generated total sales transactions of Rp 338.16 million.

Inacraft 2026 Highlights Womenpreneurs and Industry Development

This year’s exhibition carried the theme “Exploring and Celebrating Womenpreneurs,” highlighting the strategic role of women in driving the creative industry and the national economy.

The event also featured the Inacraft Award, Inacraft Digital Excellence Award, and Inacraft Womenpreneurs Award. One facilitated participant, PT Dmoroy Kreasi Alam Nusantara, received the Inacraft Awards 2026 in the Natural Fibers category.

Director of Chemical, Textile, and Handicraft Industries, Budi Setiawan, said Inacraft is an important momentum for handicraft SMEs to strengthen their role as drivers of the creative economy.

“We also implement various development programs for SMEs, including product development and diversification, certification and standardization assistance, as well as export readiness mentoring so that SMEs are ready to compete and move up the value chain,” he said.
