Indonesia Named Official Partner Country for INNOPROM 2026 to Showcase National Industry Competitiveness

Indonesia has officially been appointed as the Partner Country for the Industrial International Exhibition (INNOPROM) 2026, which will take place in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from 6–9 July 2026 (22/01).

The designation provides an important opportunity for Indonesia to showcase the capability, competitiveness, and readiness of its national industry to the world.

INNOPROM is an international industrial exhibition that highlights innovation, technology, and global industrial cooperation.

The event gathers industrial players, investors, and policymakers from multiple countries. Since its first edition in 2010, INNOPROM has become the largest industrial exhibition in Central Asia and Eurasia, hosting nearly 1,000 exhibitors across 50,000 square meters.

Strengthening National Industrial Competitiveness

Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said that Indonesia’s participation as Partner Country is a strategic step to enhance the nation’s industrial branding.

“Participation as Partner Country INNOPROM 2026 is an important momentum to demonstrate the capability and competitiveness of our national industry to the world. Indonesia wants to appear not only as a participant but as a strategic partner showing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and inclusive industrial growth,” Agus said in Jakarta (22/01).

As the Partner Country, Indonesia will feature leading manufacturing products, investment potential, and partnership opportunities in priority sectors. The country also aims to promote itself as a center for manufacturing and innovation in the region.

Expanding Bilateral Cooperation with Russia

Indonesia and Russia have maintained strong industrial cooperation in several strategic sectors, including fertilizers, pharmaceuticals and healthcare equipment, metallurgy, shipbuilding, chrysotile industry, and halal industry development. This cooperation serves as a solid foundation for Indonesia’s role in INNOPROM 2026.

Through the exhibition, Indonesia seeks to expand market access, especially to Russia and other countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

“INNOPROM is a strategic platform to broaden market access and deepen industrial cooperation with international partners, especially Russia and the Eurasian region. Through this forum, Indonesia can introduce its industrial capabilities while opening investment and mutually beneficial partnership opportunities,” Minister Agus explained.

Support for Indonesia’s participation comes from the Russian government through the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as the exhibition organizer, Formika Event. Both parties have committed to strengthening industrial cooperation in technology, energy, transportation, and industrial digitalization.

Business Matching and MoUs Ahead of INNOPROM 2026

As part of preparation, the Ministry of Industry and the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow organized the Indonesia–Russia Business Matching: Road to INNOPROM 2026. The event helped accelerate the finalization of strategic industrial agreements and align cooperation between Indonesian and Russian industry players.

Several memoranda of understanding have been agreed upon in strategic sectors, including shipbuilding and scientific research on safe chrysotile use, along with other industrial collaborations still in the finalization stage. These agreements demonstrate the commitment of both countries to value-added industrial cooperation and technology transfer.
