TKDN Explores Procurement of 2,000 Electric Vehicles with INAKO to Build Sustainable Transport System

PT Teknologi Karya Digital Nusa Tbk (TRON) or TKDN has partnered with PT INAKO Kreta Udhaya (INAKO) to explore electric vehicle procurement aimed at strengthening Indonesia’s sustainable transportation ecosystem and reducing carbon emissions (29/12).

Strategic MoU Focuses on Transportation and Smart Cities

The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Jakarta. “This exploratory collaboration is part of TKDN’s strategy to expand the integrated transportation and smart city solution ecosystem,” said TKDN President Director David Santoso.

David explained that the collaboration is in line with TKDN’s focus as a technology company providing solutions to support transportation and smart cities in Indonesia. He added that INAKO operates as a producer and service provider in the electric vehicle sector in the country.

Pilot Projects and Vehicle Procurement Planned

The MoU outlines a potential procurement of around 2,000 electric vehicles. The scope of activities includes technical trials, pilot projects, and operational modeling. By evaluating vehicle procurement, after-sales support, and operational schemes, TKDN aims to improve implementation efficiency in the field and strengthen sustainable business growth.

“Ultimately, this creates added value for stakeholders,” David said.

Further Coordination and Collaboration Ahead

David noted that TKDN and INAKO will continue coordination and detailed studies to identify the most relevant and valuable areas of collaboration. They will prioritize careful planning and readiness for implementation. He expressed optimism that the partnership will strengthen TKDN’s role in the national electric mobility ecosystem and the development of Battery as a Service (BaaS), while creating opportunities for synergy with other parties.

INAKO’s Commitment to Effective Implementation

INAKO CEO Suchang Oh described the cooperation as an initial step to explore measurable collaboration with TKDN. “We are committed to supporting evaluation processes, technical trials/pilot projects, and providing specifications and after-sales support, so the implementation of electric vehicle solutions can run effectively and sustainably according to operational needs,” he said.
