Indonesia’s Biggest Companies in 2025: Pertamina Tops Fortune 100 with Rp 1.2 Quadrillion Revenue

Fortune Indonesia unveiled its 2025 ranking of the 100 largest companies based on fiscal year 2024 performance. PT Pertamina (Persero) claimed the top spot with revenues reaching Rp 1,217,434.44 billion.

Strong Presence of State-Owned Enterprises in Top Rankings

Following Pertamina, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) secured second place with Rp 545,380 billion, while Astra International ranked third with Rp 330,920 billion.

Other state-owned and financial institutions, including Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and Bank Mandiri, also featured prominently.

Increasing Entry Threshold Reflects Economic Growth

Editor-in-Chief Hendra Soeprajitno highlighted the rise in the minimum revenue required to enter the list from Rp 10.54 trillion to Rp 11.42 trillion this year.

"Though featuring only 100 companies, this list reflects the pulse of the national economy," he said.

Fortune 100 Companies Contribute Over a Quarter of Indonesia’s GDP

In 2023, Indonesia's nominal GDP was Rp 20,892.4 trillion, with the Fortune 100 companies' total revenue representing 26.84 percent of this figure.

The GDP rose to Rp 22,139.0 trillion in 2024, with the companies maintaining a strong contribution of 26.93 percent.

Majority of Companies Show Revenue and Profit Growth

Two-thirds of the companies on the list recorded revenue growth, while over half increased their net profits, largely driven by banking and financial sectors.

The list includes both public and private companies, selected solely based on actual performance without manipulation, according to Hendra.
