Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) has officially transformed its SheHacks initiative into a national movement aimed at bridging the gender gap in technology and digital entrepreneurship (15/5).
Introduced five years ago, SheHacks 2025 now represents a broader, sustainable, and collaborative effort through the newly launched #UnlockingShe campaign.
“SheHacks is no longer just a program. It is now a movement—a movement to dismantle the barriers that prevent women from dreaming, creating, and leading,” said Reski Damayanti, Chief Legal Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.
“Through SheHacks 2025 and #UnlockingShe, we aim to build a broader and more inclusive space for women to innovate, empower each other, and drive real change”.
MoU with UN Women Strengthens Collaboration Framework
A key milestone of SheHacks 2025 is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indosat and UN Women.
This formalizes their shared commitment to developing an ecosystem that actively empowers women in the digital sector.
The movement is further supported by the Australia Indonesia Institute (AII) and nine additional strategic partners.
30,000 Ideas Over Five Years: A Testament to Innovation
Over the last five years, SheHacks has generated more than 30,000 technology-based ideas and solutions from women across Indonesia.
These innovations reflect diverse experiences, from rural women launching digital-based businesses to students creating tools for people with disabilities, and communities establishing safe digital environments.
Driving Inclusive Growth Through #UnlockingShe
With the #UnlockingShe campaign, Indosat calls on all ecosystem players—government, private sector, communities, and individuals—to open more doors for women.
These include access to technology and leadership opportunities within the digital space.
“When one door opens, thousands of women will walk through and drive change with purpose,” said Reski.
Building a Digital Future Through Empowerment
Indosat emphasizes the long-term sustainability and collaborative spirit of the SheHacks initiative.
It envisions the program as a space where women support each other, gain knowledge, and evolve as agents of change.
“SheHacks is a space where women encourage each other, learn together, and grow into change-makers. We believe that Indonesia’s digital future can only be realized when everyone has an equal opportunity to contribute, including women,” Reski added.
