The Indonesian government is advancing its digital transformation agenda by launching Super Apps Caraka, a unified platform to enhance legal services for the public (14/5).
The initiative is led by the Ministry of Law with full support from the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi).
“We support this super app, which will significantly improve public services and legal and licensing tools,” stated Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria, after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Law and 20 government institutions at the Ministry of Law office in South Jakarta.
Caraka to Become Part of Indonesia’s Digital Governance Framework
Nezar Patria confirmed that Komdigi would provide both infrastructure and interoperability to connect Super Apps Caraka with relevant ministries and institutions.
“Data from Super Apps Caraka will be integrated with the National Data Center (PDN), as it is part of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) managed by Komdigi,” he explained.
He added that the application is currently under development by both ministries and is expected to be officially launched no later than early 2026.
Law Ministry Prioritizes Digital Service Transformation
Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas expressed appreciation for Komdigi’s role in supporting the ministry’s digital shift.
“We are transforming to develop all systems through digitalization, and with the support of Komdigi, we are very thankful because it has been very helpful,” he said.
According to Supratman, Super Apps Caraka represents the Ministry of Law’s commitment to the directive from President Prabowo Subianto to improve the quality and speed of public services.
“The President wants acceleration in every decision-making process, and that is our guide at the Ministry of Law in providing services both within our ministry and to the public,” he noted.
Besides Komdigi, the Ministry of Law has entered into cooperation agreements with a wide range of institutions, including the Supreme Court, Bank Indonesia, the National Police, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Forestry, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Cooperatives, the Ministry of Creative Economy, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, and the Business Competition Supervisory Commission.
