Biznet Expands Bandwidth, Eyes 900K Customers in 2025

PT Supra Primatama Nusantara (Biznet) is targeting 30% customer growth in 2025, increasing its user base from 700,000 in 2024 to approximately 900,000. The company aims to balance its market share between Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) customers.

"Yes, our minimum target is 30% growth," said Adrianto Sulistyo, Senior Manager of Marketing at Biznet, in Jakarta on Thursday (February 20, 2025). Currently, B2C customers account for 70% of Biznet’s total users, while B2B contributes 30%. By 2025, Biznet plans to equalize this ratio to 50-50.

Biznet's customer base remained stable in 2024 due to consistent pricing and improved bandwidth quality. "The response has been positive because customers feel they are getting more value without paying extra," Adrianto explained.

To meet increasing digital demands, Biznet enhanced its bandwidth capacity by 30% in February 2025. This upgrade, delivered through the Biznet Home service, primarily benefits areas connected to the Biznet Nusantara Cable System-1 (BNCS-1) submarine network.

President Director of Biznet, Adi Kusma, emphasized that higher bandwidth supports not only social media use but also business activities such as content creation and live selling. "We continuously adapt to digital needs by offering larger bandwidth with symmetric upload and download speeds," he stated.

Biznet introduced four upgraded plans as part of this expansion:

  • Biznet Home Internet 0D: Rp250,000/month, speed increased from 50 Mbps to 65 Mbps
  • Biznet Home Internet 1D: Rp375,000/month, speed boosted from 150 Mbps to 200 Mbps
  • Biznet Home Internet 2D: Rp575,000/month, speed increased from 250 Mbps to 325 Mbps
  • Biznet Home Gamers 3D: Rp700,000/month, speed upgraded from 300 Mbps to 400 Mbps

Additionally, Biznet has expanded its fiber optic network with submarine cables, adding 200 Gbps in Cirebon and Semarang and 400 Gbps in Surabaya.

Despite government plans to auction the 1.4 GHz spectrum for affordable 100 Mbps internet, Biznet remains committed to its fixed broadband services. "We welcome the initiative, but our focus remains on improving wired internet rather than wireless solutions," Adrianto stated.

To cater to diverse consumer needs, Biznet now offers a more affordable package at Rp175,000/month, including a WiFi 5 modem that supports 100 Mbps speeds. The company is also considering temporary bandwidth bonuses to enhance customer experience and promote high-speed internet adoption.

By prioritizing infrastructure upgrades and customer satisfaction, Biznet continues to position itself as a leading fixed broadband provider in Indonesia.
