PT Brigit Biofarmaka Teknologi Tbk (OBAT) has officially launched a new herbal supplement manufacturing facility. This strategic expansion has driven OBAT’s stock price up by nearly 4% in today’s trading session.
According to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) disclosure, OBAT inaugurated the factory on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The facility spans 1,060 square meters with a 1,500-square-meter, two-story production building.
The company’s Corporate Secretary, Toufin Noor Prambudi, stated that the factory will manufacture various herbal supplements, including capsule-based products in strip, blister, and bottle packaging, as well as liquid medicine in sachet and bottle formats.
To ensure high product quality, the factory is equipped with advanced laboratories for physical, chemical, and microbiological testing. "With this facility, our daily production capacity will reach 750,000 capsules and 1,000 liters of liquid medicine," said Toufin.
Although OBAT did not disclose the total investment for the new plant, the company expects it to significantly boost sales. "We project sales growth to triple following this expansion," Toufin added.
