Telkom Plans to Accelerate Rp4 Trillion Share Buyback to Support Long-Term Shareholder Value

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is preparing to accelerate its share buyback program, which has an approved maximum allocation of Rp4 trillion, to support long-term shareholder value. As of October 19, 2026, more than Rp3 trillion remained available under the approved allocation (20/10).

The program was approved at Telkom's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on June 8, 2026, and is scheduled to run for 12 months, from June 9, 2026, to June 8, 2027.

Telkom Share Buyback Supports Long-Term Shareholder Value

The planned acceleration is part of Telkom's capital allocation strategy to create long-term value for shareholders. The timing and amount of the share purchases will take into account market conditions, the company's cash position, and operational and investment needs, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Telkom President Director Nanang Hendarno said the company was evaluating the buyback while maintaining disciplined capital allocation, based on management's confidence in the company's business fundamentals and long-term prospects.

"We believe Telkom has strong business fundamentals and long-term growth potential. The implementation of the buyback is one expression of our confidence in the company's value, alongside the transformation of TelkomGroup through the TLKM 30 strategy, which is designed to optimize business potential and increase corporate value," Nanang said.

Telkom Considers Cash Flow and Financial Flexibility

Telkom Finance and Risk Management Director Angelo said the buyback would take into account capital allocation priorities and the company's cash flow capacity.

The program will be funded using the company's internal cash resources. Its implementation will also consider liquidity needs and capital allocation priorities to maintain financial flexibility.

"The implementation of the buyback is part of a capital allocation decision that we consider with discipline, taking into account the company's fundamentals and future business prospects. We ensure that every capital deployment decision remains aligned with TelkomGroup's strategic priorities while maintaining the company's financial health so that it can support sustainable growth," Angelo said.

TLKM 30 Strategy Supports Telkom's Business Transformation

Telkom is continuing its transition toward a Strategic Holding structure based on a Holding Company–Operating Company (HoldCo–OpCo) model.

As part of this transition, the company is accelerating portfolio restructuring and efficiency initiatives to strengthen operational performance. These initiatives are also intended to improve EBITDA margins and support sustainable business growth as a foundation for creating shareholder value.
