Coretax System Restored: Tax Invoices Double in Four Days

The Indonesian Directorate General of Taxes (Ditjen Pajak) has claimed that its Coretax system is now operating normally after facing significant technical challenges since its launch. This improvement has led to a surge in tax invoice issuance, with more than 1.6 million invoices generated.

Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations at Ditjen Pajak, Dwi Astuti, revealed that several updates were made to address previous issues. Among these were solutions to problems with login errors, delays in one-time password (OTP) delivery, and difficulties in updating company profiles. These changes have significantly enhanced the system’s functionality and reliability for users.

As of January 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, a total of 53,200 taxpayers successfully created invoices, resulting in 1,674,963 tax invoices issued. Of these, 670,424 invoices were validated or approved. This marks a notable improvement compared to data from January 9, 2025, when only 845,514 invoices had been issued. The number of taxpayers who obtained digital certificates for signing invoices has also increased, reaching 167,389.

The Coretax system encountered widespread criticism during its initial rollout due to numerous technical glitches, which disrupted business processes for many users. However, the recent updates have restored confidence among taxpayers. To support users, Ditjen Pajak provides detailed guidance on its official website, www.pajak.go.id, where common issues and their solutions are listed. Taxpayers can also contact local offices or the helpline at 1500 200 for further assistance.

Dwi expressed optimism about the system’s progress, highlighting its positive impact on the efficiency of tax administration. She stated, “Ditjen Pajak continues to implement improvements to ensure that taxpayers face no further obstacles in accessing Coretax services.”

In just four days, the number of invoices issued has doubled, demonstrating the effectiveness of these updates. This achievement underscores the potential of the Coretax system to modernize Indonesia’s tax administration, benefiting businesses and individual taxpayers alike. The Directorate General of Taxes remains committed to monitoring the system and providing regular updates to ensure optimal performance.
