PepsiCo Inc. has reintroduced its Greenhouse Accelerator (GHAC) program, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable innovation in the food and beverage sector. This initiative supports startups by offering expert mentorship, collaboration opportunities, and substantial funding.
Ashley Brown, VP Supply Chain for Australia-New Zealand and Chief Sustainability Officer at PepsiCo Asia Pacific, explained that GHAC aims to empower startups to drive meaningful change. "The program provides resources and guidance needed to enhance innovation across our food system," she stated.
Since its inception, GHAC has launched 15 pilot projects across Asia-Pacific and partnered with 95 institutions and venture capital firms. These collaborations focus on reducing environmental impact, advancing renewable energy, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Through the program, 10 finalists will each receive $20,000 to develop their ideas. The winning startup will secure an additional $100,000 in funding. Beyond financial support, participants gain access to seasoned executives and business accelerator experts to overcome challenges and accelerate growth.
"Participants will not only receive professional mentorship but also opportunities to collaborate directly with PepsiCo," Brown noted. This collaboration enables startups to test innovative solutions and scale their initiatives.
The accelerator underscores sustainability as a growing priority for investors, consumers, and employees. GHAC aims to help entrepreneurs create impactful solutions while maintaining competitiveness in the evolving market.
"This program offers decades of expert experience, strong partner networks, and valuable insights for refining pilot project strategies," Brown concluded.
PepsiCo’s Greenhouse Accelerator demonstrates the company’s dedication to fostering sustainable innovation while empowering startups to transform the global food industry.
