Indonesia’s startup ecosystem has seen remarkable growth in 2024, despite facing several global challenges. According to Monika Rudijono, Managing Director of Endeavor Indonesia, the country's entrepreneurial sector continues to demonstrate positive momentum.
Endeavor Indonesia, a key player in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, expanded its network this year by adding 9 new Endeavor Entrepreneurs, bringing the total to 104 from 78 companies. This marks a significant milestone for the organization, which connects high-impact entrepreneurs to global networks and resources.
Endeavor Entrepreneurs are selected through a rigorous process, with only the most promising founders making it into the global network. The process begins with a screening by Endeavor Indonesia’s team, followed by in-depth evaluations, one-on-one mentor sessions, and local panel discussions. Finally, candidates must secure unanimous approval at the International Selection Panels (ISP) to join the global community.
Among the new Endeavor Entrepreneurs joining in 2024 are high-profile figures, such as the CEO and Co-Founder of Paper.id, the Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Kopi Kenangan, and leaders from companies like Chickin, Staffinc, Qoala, and IDN. This expansion signals growing global exposure for Indonesian entrepreneurs and highlights the increasing international recognition of the nation’s startup scene.
Despite the economic uncertainties worldwide, the Indonesian startup ecosystem continues to thrive, thanks in part to initiatives like Endeavor. The organization’s role in providing entrepreneurs with valuable resources and connections has proven essential in driving both innovation and economic development within Indonesia.
