Maybank Indonesia Completes Triple Entity Acquisition to Form Integrated Financial Group

PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk has officially started operating as an integrated financial group after completing the acquisition of shares in three financial service entities on Monday (14/09).

The acquired companies are PT Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia, PT Maybank Asset Management, and PT Asuransi Etiqa Internasional Indonesia.

This milestone follows the implementation of Maybank Indonesia's structure as an operational financial conglomeration parent company (PIKK), which received approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Strategic Acquisitions Unify Banking, Investment, and Insurance Under One Ecosystem

Steffano Ridwan, President Director of Maybank Indonesia, stated in Jakarta that operating as an integrated financial group is an important step to strengthen the company's ability to fulfill customer financial needs in Indonesia.

"With various capabilities now increasingly integrated, customers can access a more complete range of Maybank financial solutions within one ecosystem, starting from banking services, investment, wealth management, insurance to various non-bank financial solutions," Steffano said.

He noted that integrating these financial services allows the company and its member entities to build stronger synergies.

The integration also optimizes the individual strengths and expertise of each entity to offer more comprehensive financial solutions. According to Steffano, this setup will ultimately deliver added value to customers and stakeholders.

Approval as Operational Financial Conglomeration Parent Company Drives Regional Connectivity

As an integrated financial group, Maybank Indonesia consolidates five entities: Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia, Maybank Asset Management, Asuransi Etiqa, Maybank Finance, and Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha/WOM.

The integrated structure receives support from Maybank Group's regional connectivity, giving customers access to a broader range of connected financial solutions across the region.

The company stated that this service integration forms part of Maybank Group's ROAR30 strategy to strengthen Maybank's position as a leading financial services group in ASEAN. It also reinforces the commitment to the Humanising Financial Services mission, which focuses on customer needs.

The formation of Maybank Indonesia as an Operational PIKK was previously approved during an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on June 29, 2026.

First-Half 2026 Financial Results Show Net Profit and Deposit Growth

During the first half of 2026, Maybank Indonesia recorded a net profit of Rp698 billion, representing a 21.2 percent increase year-on-year (yoy).

Total credit expanded by 3.8 percent (yoy) to reach Rp126.28 trillion. Meanwhile, customer deposits grew by 8.2 percent (yoy) to Rp124.10 trillion, driven by a 22.4 percent (yoy) increase in current account and savings account (CASA) funds.
