Indosat and Muhammadiyah Sign MoU to Accelerate Digital Transformation and AI Development

The Central Executive Board of Muhammadiyah signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Indosat Tbk on digital transformation in Yogyakarta (19/08).

Muhammadiyah Chairman Haedar Nashir welcomed the agreement and appreciated Indosat for the partnership.

He said the signing followed an earlier meeting between Indosat executives and the Muhammadiyah leadership.

“We hope that the development of digitalization carried out by Muhammadiyah through several instruments will become easier, faster, and experience acceleration after the cooperation with Indosat,” Haedar said.

Muhammadiyah Expands Digitalization and AI Programs

Haedar said digitalization and AI development programs at Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (PTMA) and Muhammadiyah Business and Charitable Enterprises (AUM) have grown significantly within the organization.

“With this cooperation, these programs are expected to gain broader reach and stronger support in their development,” he said.

Indosat and Muhammadiyah Share Digital Empowerment Vision

Indosat Director and Chief Business Officer Muhammad Buldansyah said the MoU is expected to bring benefits to the community and all parties involved.

“Hopefully this step will be blessed and bring goodness to the community and all parties, both for Indosat, Muhammadiyah, and the Indonesian nation and people,” he said.

Buldansyah said he was honored by the partnership with Muhammadiyah. He noted that the organization is active in various fields and has many AUM institutions across Indonesia and abroad.

He said the partnership is aligned with Muhammadiyah’s vision and mission to build an ecosystem based on digital transformation and represents the beginning of a long-term collaboration.

Indosat to Support Muhammadiyah’s Connected Digital Ecosystem

Buldansyah said Indosat and Muhammadiyah have a shared vision of empowering the Indonesian people.

“Previously, Indosat only connected people through telecommunications networks. Now, of course, we also want to move toward empowering society,” he said.

He said Indosat is committed to becoming a technology partner for Muhammadiyah by providing digital infrastructure and supporting an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) revolution for the organization.

“This includes integrating members, the AUM network, and all Muhammadiyah institutions into one connected ecosystem,” Buldansyah said.

Indosat Offers ICT and Digital Solutions

Buldansyah said Indosat is a telecommunications and digital solutions provider in Indonesia that also provides ICT solutions. Its services include information technology infrastructure, digital security, connectivity, applications, cloud services, and data and analytics.

With these capabilities, Buldansyah said he is confident Indosat can support Muhammadiyah through the partnership.

“I am confident that what we have implemented at Indosat itself can also be implemented within Muhammadiyah and deliver extraordinary impacts that can be felt throughout the Muhammadiyah network,” he said.
