BSI Boosts Digital Banking Transactions Ahead of Ramadan and Eid with BYOND Superapp Support

PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) is encouraging customers to prioritize digital-first transactions during Ramadan and Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah (02/03). To manage the expected surge in holiday transactions, BSI has reinforced all e-channel services, particularly the BYOND superapp, which serves as a key platform for public transactions. During Ramadan and Idul Fitri, average transaction volumes via BSI e-channels rise by around 24% month-to-month.

Anton Sukarna, BSI’s Sales & Distribution Director, said, “Momentum Lebaran always drives a surge in transactions on digital channels. Therefore, we have increased IT system capacity, implemented real-time transaction monitoring, and ensured all e-channels operate optimally so customers can transact quickly, safely, and conveniently.”

BYOND Superapp Provides Comprehensive Sharia Banking Services

BSI has enhanced its digital offerings through BYOND by BSI, which includes cardless cash withdrawals, ZISWAF transactions, zakat calculators, nearby mosque information, Qibla direction guidance, and Bank Emas services for real-time gold purchase and transfer.

Other services in BSI’s digital ecosystem include BSI QRIS, EDC merchant services, BEWIZE, remittance services, and the BSI Call Center 14040. Customers are encouraged to conduct transactions digitally, reducing the use of cash during the festive period.

Digital and Physical Networks Combined to Reach More Customers

To reach customers nationwide, BSI integrates digital services with its physical network and more than 126,000 BSI Agents. These agents support deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and purchases of daily necessities, serving even remote areas across Indonesia.

Liquidity Prepared for Peak Holiday Transactions

BSI has allocated approximately Rp45 trillion in liquidity to meet cash demand, with peak transactions expected seven days before Idul Fitri. Funds are distributed through over 6,000 ATMs/CRMs and 1,049 branch outlets across the country.

Additionally, BSI is participating in Bank Indonesia’s Semarak Rupiah Ramadan and Berkah Idulfitri (SERAMBI) 2026 program, which runs until 15 March 2026, providing currency exchange at 178 points and integrated services at 41 public locations.

Ensuring Safe Digital Transactions During Increased Online Activity

BSI advises customers to remain vigilant against potential fraud by accessing information only through official channels, including the BSI website, social media accounts, and WhatsApp at 081584114040. Official updates are also available via BSI Call 14040, Facebook: Bank Syariah Indonesia, Instagram: @banksyariahindonesia, Twitter: @bankbsi_id | @bsihelp, and YouTube: Bank Syariah Indonesia.

BSI’s digital-first strategy, integrated with its physical network, aims to ensure transactions remain fast, safe, and stable during the holiday season as digital financial services see increasing adoption.
