Managing the financial needs of tens of millions of customers with diverse activities and professions is a unique challenge for PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) (26/02). To meet this challenge, BCA continues to develop its digital services. Mobile banking remains an essential service, while myBCA is actively enhanced with new features.
Mobile Banking Remains Core While myBCA Expands
Fera Agustina, SVP Transaction Banking Product Development BCA, explained that myBCA is designed to meet various customer needs. The platform is regularly updated with new features to follow customer behavior trends.
“We continue to monitor customer transaction behavior and aim to address it with technological advancements,” Fera said.
myBCA on Smartwatch: Banking on the Wrist
The latest updates to myBCA include the Poket Rupiah feature and myBCA on Smartwatch. The smartwatch feature allows users to access banking services directly from their wrist, including payments via QRIS Bayar, QRIS Tap (for WearOS users), and checking account balances. About 90,000 customers currently use myBCA on Smartwatch.
“myBCA on Smartwatch enables customers to conduct practical banking transactions via their smartwatches. We strive to meet the current needs of our customers,” Fera said.
Poket Rupiah: Sub-Accounts for Organized Budgeting
Poket Rupiah allows users to create up to 20 sub-accounts in Indonesian Rupiah from a single account without extra fees.
“This feature is popular not only with Gen Z but also with housewives managing family budgets and employees who need to separate spending by category,” Fera explained. It also encourages disciplined financial management through savings habits, with the Money Lock feature reducing impulsive spending and FOMO-driven purchases.
Customer Needs Drive Digital Features
Both myBCA on Smartwatch and Poket Rupiah reflect BCA’s focus on responding to evolving customer behavior. The features provide convenient access to banking services while supporting structured financial planning.
