Google’s Gemini Surpasses 750 Million Users: How Gemini 3 is Fueling Unprecedented Growth

Google’s AI chatbot Gemini has surpassed 750 million monthly active users, according to the company’s fourth-quarter 2025 earnings report (04/02).

The figure reflects rapid consumer adoption and positions Gemini as a major player in the AI space.

Rapid User Growth Reported in Q4 2025 Earnings

The latest user count shows a significant increase from 650 million monthly active users reported in the previous quarter. The growth highlights strong momentum over a short period.

By comparison, Meta AI has reported nearly 500 million monthly users. Gemini, however, still trails behind ChatGPT, which is estimated to have around 810 million monthly active users in late 2025.

Gemini 3 Launch Drives Increased Adoption

The growth follows the launch of Gemini 3, which Google describes as its most advanced model so far. The company said the new version provides responses with an unprecedented level of depth and nuance.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the introduction of Gemini 3 in AI mode was a “positive driver” for the company’s growth. He added that continued investment and iteration are expected to sustain this momentum.

Google also recently introduced Google AI Plus, a lower-priced plan costing $7.99 per month. The company noted that the plan was released too recently to have influenced the reported quarterly figures.

“We are focused on a free tier and subscriptions and seeing great growth,” said Philipp Schindler, Google’s chief business officer, during the investor call.

AI Expansion Supports Alphabet Revenue Growth

Gemini’s expansion comes as Alphabet reported surpassing $400 billion in annual revenue for the first time. Google attributed this milestone to the expansion of its AI division and rising demand.

The company recently introduced Ironwood, the latest generation of its TPU AI accelerator chip, aimed at competing with Nvidia.

“The launch of Gemini 3 was a major milestone, and we have great momentum. Our first party models, like Gemini, now process over 10 billion tokens per minute via direct API use by our customers, and the Gemini App has grown to over 750 million monthly active users,” Pichai said in the earnings release.
