General Manager of Juanda International Airport Muhammad Tohir said the use of electric vehicles supports government programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. He stated that adopting electric cars is part of the airport’s gradual efforts to lower carbon emissions in its operational area.
“This is a gradual step by Juanda International Airport to support the government program in reducing carbon gas production in our working area,” Tohir said.
Airport Strengthens Sustainable and Passenger-Focused Services
Tohir said the airport will continue introducing innovations to create an environmentally friendly and sustainable airport environment. He noted that the presence of electric taxi services provides passengers with additional environmentally friendly transportation options.
He added that Evista’s premium service, which uses BYD Denza D9 electric vehicles, can meet demand for exclusive transportation services for premium passengers.
“Evista can also accommodate demand for environmentally friendly premium transportation,” Tohir said.
Evista Deploys 15 Electric Vehicles at Juanda International Airport
Evista CEO Erlang Hadiwiguna said the launch of the service at Juanda International Airport is a strategic step for the company. He explained that Evista has prepared 15 electric vehicles to serve airport passengers.
The fleet includes ten BYD M6 electric cars and five BYD Denza D9 units for Elite or premium services. Erlang said the service operates daily following airport operating hours, from the first flight to the last flight each day.
“We are ready to provide comfortable and environmentally friendly airport mobility services, with daily operating hours following airport operations, from the first flight to the last flight each day,” Erlang said.
