Platform X has completed its administrative fine payment of nearly Rp80 million for the delayed moderation of pornographic content (12/12).

Official Statement from Directorate General of Digital Supervision

Following intensive communication, Platform X responded via email, officially appointing a representative to manage the administrative fine payment according to the established regulations.

“Payment of the administrative fine has been completed by X on December 12, 2025, after our third warning letter and continued communication,” Alexander Sabar stated.

Compliance Steps and Government Oversight

Kemkomdigi welcomed Platform X’s commitment to fulfilling its administrative obligations.

“This step reflects the compliance of Electronic System Operators (PSE) with existing regulations, aiming to maintain a safe, healthy, and productive digital space in Indonesia,” Dirjen Alexander added.

All fines were processed through official mechanisms and deposited directly into the state treasury managed by the Ministry of Finance, in line with applicable laws and regulations.

Implications for Digital Platforms

Dirjen Alexander emphasized that enforcing regulations on local and global digital platforms is part of the government’s ongoing effort to protect the public, particularly children and vulnerable groups, from harmful digital content.

Kemkomdigi also expressed appreciation for the commitment of all parties involved and urged all digital platforms to maintain compliance with content moderation obligations and keep responsive communication with the government to ensure a safe and responsible digital environment.
