DANA introduced the AI Enablement Playbook, a practical guide to help industries assess and strengthen their readiness for artificial intelligence adoption, an effort tied to AI’s potential to add US$140 billion to Indonesia’s economy (09/12).
The playbook compiles insights, metrics, and principles for safe, inclusive, and scalable AI adoption.
Developed from cross-sector discussions through the AI@Work Lab, the guide also includes an AI Enablement Checklist to measure industry preparedness.
It supports the National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap initiated by the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), where DANA contributes as part of the policy task force.
Clear Framework Needed for Safer and Inclusive AI Use
Vince Iswara, CEO and Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia, emphasized the need for a structured implementation of AI.
“The technology of AI is able to open wide access. When global industry players are racing to harness AI, many organizations still do not have a clear and measurable framework. The AI Enablement Playbook can be a guide to ensure AI implementation remains safe, inclusive, and impactful. With cross-sector collaboration and preparedness, technological advancements like AI can benefit society and even the Indonesian economy,” he said.
The playbook provides strategic action recommendations for government institutions, enterprises, and startups.
A key component is the 3P framework—People, Platform, and Policy—which focuses on talent empowerment, data infrastructure, and governance, aligning with the priorities of the National AI Roadmap.
Checklist Helps Industries Assess and Reduce AI Risks
The AI Enablement Checklist guides organizations in evaluating business objectives, data and infrastructure readiness, and the availability of safe and standardized AI tools.
It also helps prevent Bring Your Own AI (BYOAI) practices that could threaten company and consumer data security.
Based on the assessment, organizations are placed into three readiness levels—Curious, Committed, and Confident—offering a clear view of their progress in AI transformation.
These insights help industries set priorities, address gaps, and build AI adoption that fits their needs while supporting business sustainability.
DANA Strengthens National AI Ecosystem Through Collaboration
Through the AI@Work Lab, the AI Enablement Playbook, and the AI Enablement Checklist, DANA continues to strengthen Indonesia’s AI ecosystem by promoting dialogue, sharing best practices, and encouraging industry collaboration.
“With the efforts, support, and collaboration of all sectors, Indonesia will not only be able to leverage AI to realize Indonesia Emas, but also potentially become a regional leader in safe and inclusive AI adoption,” Vince stated.
Cross-Sector Forum Highlights Responsible AI Adoption
The AI@Work Lab, held on 21 October 2025 in Jakarta, was organized by DANA in collaboration with Tech in Asia and supported by Alibaba Cloud.
The closed-door forum discussed responsible AI use to create real impact and reinforce Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global digital economy, with participation from Komdigi, Singapore Economic Development Board, Kata.ai, Tiket.com, Microsoft, Google Cloud, and other stakeholders.
