The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia also encouraged broader subnational collaboration between Indonesian and US state governments to open new opportunities with businesses, universities, industry associations, and government agencies in the agricultural sector.

The dialogue served as a platform to discuss the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in developing superior seeds, cultivation systems, mechanization, and agricultural product marketing. Indonesian Delegation Visits US Research and Agribusiness Institutions
As part of the program, the Indonesian delegation visited the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the Illinois Department of Agriculture (ILDA) in Springfield. They also met with executives from global agribusiness company Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) to explore opportunities in seed research, post-harvest technology, food innovation, and digital agriculture systems.
