A technology startup from Maluku launched an artificial intelligence–based application designed to help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) manage their businesses more efficiently (18/11).
The app is called SmartUMKM and focuses on improving sales and operational decisions.
SmartUMKM Offers Sales Analysis and Automated Marketing Support
SmartUMKM provides sales analysis, demand prediction, and automatic marketing strategy recommendations.
The startup created the app to address challenges faced by local business owners who still struggle with data management and digital marketing.
CEO Daniel Kailola said the goal is to help entrepreneurs use data more effectively.
“Many MSME owners have quality products, but they are not yet using data to grow their businesses. With this application, they can get important insights directly from their phones,” he said.
Chat Assistant and Automatic Reporting Features
The application includes a chat assistant that helps business owners create promotional content, write social media captions, and develop product packaging ideas.
SmartUMKM also offers an automatic reporting system that users can download on a weekly or monthly basis.
Local MSME owners in Ambon gave positive feedback, saying the app helps them save time when processing sales data. They also noted that the tool makes it easier to understand consumer behavior.
Regional Government Plans Integration into Digitalization Program
The regional government supports this innovation and plans to include it in next year’s MSME digitalization program.
Officials see the initiative as a contribution to strengthening local business development.
