BI‑FAST Digital Payments Surge Past Rp25 Quadrillion in Less Than Four Years

Bank Indonesia (BI) reported that transactions processed through BI-FAST have reached Rp25 quadrillion, with a total volume of 9.61 billion transactions since the system was launched in December 2021 until September 2025.

Digital Payment Growth Reflects BSPI 2025 Implementation

Deputy Governor Filianingsih Hendarta stated that this milestone demonstrates the rapid growth of digital payments in recent years, following the implementation of the Blueprint Sistem Pembayaran Indonesia (BSPI) 2025.

“In six years, we have seen Indonesia’s payment system make major progress through various strategic initiatives. During this period, we have had QRIS, BI-FAST, SNAP, and the electronification of government and transportation transactions,” Filianingsih said at the opening of National Fintech Month (BFN) 2025 in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Stronger Interconnection Through SNAP Standard

Filianingsih also noted that payment system participants are increasingly interconnected, as shown by the rising share of transactions using the National Payment Open API Standard (SNAP).

“The proportion of payment system transactions using the SNAP standard has reached 93 percent in volume and 83 percent in nominal terms,” she added.
