Seedflex Raises US$3.2M to Support MSMEs in Southeast Asia with Flexible Credit Solutions

Seedflex Technologies, a fintech platform focused on improving access to credit for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Southeast Asia, has raised US$3.2 million in a seed extension round.

The round was co-led by Z Venture Capital (ZVC) and Iterative, with participation from existing investors and strategic angel investors.

This funding will help Seedflex expand its reach and support underserved businesses in emerging Asia.

"We’re thrilled to welcome ZVC and Iterative to our cap table and are grateful to 500 Global and our existing shareholders for their continued investment," said Ritwik Ghosh, co-founder of Seedflex.

Seedflex’s Growth and Success in Malaysia

Seedflex launched in Malaysia in June 2024, offering the "Pay-As-You-Sell Advance"™ (PAYS Advance) as a dynamic credit solution. This system automatically adjusts loans and repayments based on sales revenue.

Since its launch, Seedflex has seen 35% month-on-month average revenue growth and has provided PAYS Advance to over 5,000 merchants in Malaysia.

The company aims to expand its reach to 50,000 merchants by the end of 2025.

Seedflex partners with over 10 merchant ecosystems, including senangPay, EasyEat, and ipay88, to offer PAYS Advance to their networks of MSMEs, further extending its impact in Malaysia.

ZVC and Iterative Back Seedflex's Growth

ZVC Principal Janice Sa expressed enthusiasm for Seedflex's unique model, which directly addresses SME lending challenges.

"Seedflex’s pay-as-you-sell model immediately stood out. Its daily collections mechanism meaningfully lowers the cost of capital, providing better rates for merchants," Sa stated.

Brian Ma, General Partner at Iterative, also praised Seedflex's leadership team, noting that co-founders Ritwik and Sauvik’s prior experience at Grab has equipped them with the expertise to scale embedded finance solutions effectively in Southeast Asia.

Seedflex’s Plans for Regional Expansion

This investment will allow Seedflex to expand into new Southeast Asian markets, with plans to launch in Indonesia in the near future.

Indonesia, with its large population and growing economy, presents a significant opportunity for Seedflex’s flexible credit solutions.

The company also plans to offer an embedded credit API that will enable distribution partners to integrate Seedflex’s platform directly into their own systems.

Seedflex’s expansion across Southeast Asia will further address the credit gap faced by underserved businesses in the region, empowering MSMEs to access the financial resources needed for growth.

How PAYS Advance Works for Cashless Merchants

PAYS Advance provides a flexible line of credit for cashless merchants, allowing them to access up to 12 weeks of sales revenue in advance.

Repayments are automatically deducted from future sales, offering merchants a transparent and flexible way to manage their cash flow.

The platform charges a one-time flat fee with no hidden costs or interest charges, making it an attractive option for businesses in need of working capital.
