The Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) has reaffirmed its dedication to sustainable energy transition by hosting the ITPLN Future Energy Expo (IFEE) 2025 on February 27. In collaboration with PT PLN (Persero), this event served as a platform for academics, industry practitioners, and students to share innovations in the electrical sector and cultivate the next generation of energy professionals.

Showcasing Innovations in Renewable Energy

IFEE 2025, themed "Empowering the Future with Green Energy & Smart Technology," featured a diverse array of innovations in renewable energy. Exhibits included advancements in smart grid technology, electrification system digitalization, solar panels, electric vehicle development, energy-based waste management, and sustainable energy startups. These innovations align with ITPLN's commitment to supporting Indonesia's Net Zero Emission 2060 target.

Collaborative Efforts in Business Incubation

As part of its commitment to fostering innovation, ITPLN partnered with PLN in a Business Incubation Program. Since September 2024, 15 teams from APERTI BUMN campuses have participated in this program, which includes business training, technical consultations, and innovation development mentorship. Additionally, 10 internal ITPLN innovation teams and 2 teams from MKI Innovations showcased their creative solutions in the energy sector during the expo. All participants completed the incubation program and demonstrated their innovative products at IFEE 2025.

Advancements in Smart Technology

The expo also highlighted significant progress in smart technology applications within the energy sector. Innovations such as smart grids and digitalization of electrical systems were prominently featured, reflecting a global trend towards integrating intelligent technologies to enhance energy efficiency and reliability. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), accelerating innovation in clean energy technologies is crucial to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2050.
