Dutch AI chip startup EUCLYD has raised more than €200 million in a Series A funding round to accelerate the development of “ultra-efficient” infrastructure for foundation AI models (15/09).
The Eindhoven-based semiconductor systems startup said the round was co-led by Samsung, Somerset Capital Partners, the EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund, and Innovation Industries.
Additional investors include EIFO, Denmark’s export and investment fund, as well as imec.xpand, the Brabant Development Agency (BOM), and Quadri.
Alongside the funding, Peter Wennink, the former President and CEO of chip-equipment company ASML, has joined EUCLYD’s board as Chairman.

Bernardo Kastrup, founder and Chief Executive Officer of EUCLYD, said the funding would support the company’s goal of making AI infrastructure more efficient and reducing the cost of running advanced AI models.
“AI is becoming a foundation of economic growth, scientific discovery, and national competitiveness, but its potential will remain constrained unless we fundamentally change the infrastructure beneath it. This financing accelerates our mission to make intelligence abundant through greater efficiency, lower cost per token, and broader access to advanced AI,” Kastrup said.
EUCLYD was founded in 2024 by Kastrup and Atul Sinha at High Tech Campus Eindhoven.
EUCLYD Focuses on AI Compute and Memory Challenges

The company calls craftwerk the world’s first agentic AI silicon, while it describes craftwerk station CWS as the world’s lowest-power exascale AI factory.
Together, the platform combines programmable ASIC compute with processor-memory co-design and system-level optimisation. EUCLYD says the approach is aimed at memory and efficiency constraints that are holding back AI performance and scalability as models continue to grow.

EUCLYD Plans to Expand Its Silicon and Systems Roadmap
EUCLYD’s immediate goals are to build craftwerk and craftwerk station CWS as the company works toward what it calls “Abundant Intelligence.”
EUCLYD describes “Abundant Intelligence” as an AI-driven future in which advanced AI is not limited by infrastructure costs, power availability, or geography.
The company said the Series A funding is intended to be the first major step toward building the chip and systems capacity needed to pursue that goal.
EUCLYD will use the new capital to expand its engineering team, accelerate development of its silicon and systems roadmap, deepen industry partnerships, and enable sales into enterprise, government, and hyperscale AI markets.
