Estika Tata Tiara Acquires 30.05-Hectare Dairy Farm in Sukabumi to Expand Milk Business

PT Estika Tata Tiara Tbk (BEEF) has acquired 30.05 hectares of land in Sukabumi, West Java, to expand its dairy farming business and develop an integrated operation covering packaged milk production and agricultural tourism (02/11).

In an official statement on Monday (02/11/2026), the company said the 300,500-square-meter property already has dairy farming facilities and infrastructure to support packaged milk production.

BEEF President Director Ari Wijayanto said the acquisition is part of the company's business diversification strategy to strengthen its dairy farming operations.

The company plans to develop the Sukabumi property to increase its dairy business capacity and create additional value through packaged milk products and educational farm tourism.

"The acquisition of this new asset can improve the sustainability of the dairy farming business by increasing added value for consumers through packaged milk products and educational farm tourism experiences," Ari said, as quoted in the company's official statement on Monday (02/11).

BEEF Expands Dairy Farming Operations After Banyumas Production Results

BEEF began its dairy farming business in early 2026 by purchasing 250 imported dairy cows. The animals were placed at the company's farm in Tumiyang Village, Banyumas, Central Java.

After recording satisfactory fresh milk production results during the first lactation period in Banyumas, the company decided to expand its business capacity through the development of the Sukabumi property.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen the company's dairy operations and support the development of its packaged milk business.

Indonesia's Milk Supply Gap Supports Dairy Industry Opportunities

BEEF's expansion comes amid opportunities in Indonesia's domestic dairy industry, particularly the gap between national milk demand and domestic production.

According to Ministry of Agriculture data cited by the company, Indonesia's milk demand reached approximately 4.68 million tons in 2025, while per capita consumption stood at around 17.7 liters annually.

However, domestic milk production amounted to only approximately 820,900 tons, while imports reached around 3.86 million tons.

Consequently, domestic production met only about 20% of national milk demand. BEEF considers this gap an opportunity for the development of dairy farming businesses in Indonesia.

The company also sees potential for higher milk demand due to the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (Makan Bergizi Gratis/MBG) program and population growth.

BEEF Develops Packaged Milk and Educational Farm Tourism

Through the expansion, BEEF aims to strengthen its integrated agribusiness operations, which currently include beef cattle and buffalo fattening, slaughterhouse operations, meat imports, processed meat products, and cold storage rentals.

The development of its dairy business is also expected to expand the company's portfolio of animal protein-based food products.

"The development of the dairy cattle business is expected to expand the company's portfolio of animal protein-based food products," Ari said.
