OJK Reshuffles Leaders for Strategic Regional Offices

The Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan, or OJK) has initiated key leadership changes to strengthen its organizational framework and support Indonesia’s economic development. On December 4, 2024, a formal ceremony in Jakarta saw the appointment of new leaders for both central and regional offices, a step designed to align with the agency's mission of enhancing the financial sector’s contribution to national growth.

During the event, OJK Chairperson Mahendra Siregar highlighted the importance of these appointments. He stated, “This initiative aims to fully support government programs and significantly enhance Indonesia's economic growth.” The decision aligns with the mandates outlined in the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (UU P2SK), which calls for the continuous improvement of Indonesia’s financial institutions.

Part of the agency’s strategy involves expanding its regional presence to ensure localized economic development. To this end, OJK plans to establish new offices in Banten and Bangka Belitung provinces, reinforcing its ability to oversee and support financial services in these regions. These expansions aim to bring stronger economic oversight and development to areas that have been underrepresented in national strategies.

Mahendra reiterated the importance of maintaining momentum in ongoing initiatives. “The main programs we have implemented over the past two years, including reforms in the financial services industry, remain crucial. This organizational enhancement is a vital component of our long-term strategy,” he explained.

Among the newly appointed officials is Dino Milano Siregar, who will lead the Department of Financial Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets. Other appointees include:

  • Adi Dharma as Head of OJK Banten Province
  • Farid Faletehan as Head of OJK Bangka Belitung Province
  • Haramain Billady as Head of OJK Purwokerto
  • Rochma Hidayati as Head of OJK Kalimantan Barat
  • Fatwa Aulia as Head of OJK Papua
  • Bismi Maulana Nugraha as Head of OJK Sulawesi Tenggara
  • Bonny Hardi Putra as Head of OJK Sulawesi Tengah
  • Yan Iswara Rosya as Head of OJK Jambi Province

The reshuffling of leadership roles comes at a critical time for Indonesia’s economy as the country continues to navigate global financial challenges and leverage technological advancements in the financial sector. These changes are expected to not only strengthen OJK’s operational capacity but also ensure that financial sector development reaches all parts of the country. By emphasizing both innovation and inclusivity, OJK demonstrates its commitment to bridging economic disparities and fostering a more robust financial ecosystem.
