SRAJ Expands Integrated Cancer Care at Mayapada with PET-CT and SPECT-CT Technology

PT Sejahteraraya Anugerahjaya Tbk (SRAJ), operator of Mayapada Hospital, announced the strengthening of its cancer services through technology integration and coordinated care systems (26/04).

The company partnered with Siemens Healthineers to introduce PET-CT Scan and SPECT-CT Scan technologies at Mayapada Hospital in South Jakarta.

Advanced Diagnostic Technology Supports Oncology Service Development

The introduction of PET-CT and SPECT-CT Scan aims to enhance oncology services by improving diagnostic capabilities.

This initiative reflects Mayapada’s focus on combining medical technology with structured treatment systems.

JCI Accreditation and Global Benchmarking Ensure International Standards

Chief Medical Officer Mayapada Healthcare, Dini Handayani, stated that Mayapada Hospital South Jakarta has obtained accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI).

This accreditation indicates that the hospital’s service quality meets global standards.

The hospital also conducts routine cross-specialty benchmarking with global healthcare institutions and is currently selecting international partners for oncology benchmarking.

Patient Navigator and Multidisciplinary Care Strengthen Treatment Process

Dini said that one of the hospital’s key advantages is the presence of a patient navigator system, adapted from MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States.

This team assists patients throughout the treatment process, including administrative, medical, emotional, and financial aspects.

Mayapada Hospital South Jakarta also implements a Coordination of Care system involving doctors in charge, specialists, medical staff, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, and supporting teams.

For more complex cases, the hospital uses an Oncology Board as a cross-specialist forum to determine comprehensive treatment strategies.

Increasing Cancer Cases Drive Expansion and Precision Oncology Focus

Dini revealed that breast and colorectal cancers are the most common in Indonesia, while lung cancer is prevalent among men and cervical cancer among women.

To meet growing demand, Mayapada plans to expand PET-CT Scan and SPECT-CT Scan facilities to hospitals in Tangerang, Surabaya, and Bandung within one to two years.

The company expects its hospital network to become a referral hub for cancer services across Indonesia.

Mayapada Hospital Tangerang already has a linear accelerator for radiotherapy.

Dini added that future oncology service development will focus not only on advanced medical equipment but also on strengthening precision oncology-based services.
