Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 Opens: How BCA Supports Student Innovation in Tourism Villages

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has launched Genera-Z Berbakti 2026, a program inviting university students across Indonesia to contribute to society through community service initiatives in tourism villages (30/03).

The program targets students involved in Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) and similar activities, especially those ready to implement innovative ideas in villages supported by Bakti BCA.

BCA Encourages Youth Innovation and Leadership Development

BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn stated that Genera-Z Berbakti is a proposal-based program aimed at student groups committed to delivering real contributions.

“We see the big potential of the young generation as a part of society that is critically-minded and greatly adaptive towards technology and innovation. Genera-Z Berbakti exists as a real platform for BCA to drive university students’ innovation to be a solution for society. This is not only community service work, but also our commitment to prepare future leaders who are competent, with strong integrity, and capable of bringing positive impact for the nation towards Indonesia Emas 2045,” she said.

Program Scope Covers Key Development Issues and Tourism Villages

Participants must form groups of 10–12 students from interdisciplinary backgrounds and can address up to two issues in their proposals.

The focus areas include sustainable tourism, MSME development, education, environment, health, and culture.

Projects will be implemented in selected tourism villages, namely Terong Creative Tourism Village in Belitung, Gunung Padang Site Tourism Village in Cianjur, Patakbanteng Tourism Village in Wonosobo, and Kakaskasen Dua Tourism Village in Tomohon.

Selection Process, Timeline, and Program Benefits

Registration is open until 24 April 2026, with finalists to be announced on 30 April and the judging phase scheduled for 16–17 May.

Four selected groups will receive funding and mentorship to execute their programs for one month, with the best-performing team eligible for additional prizes worth hundreds of millions of rupiah and a certificate.

The program includes a bootcamp in early July, followed by field implementation until 6 August, and final reporting and presentations in the second week of August.

Previous Program Drew Hundreds of Proposals

The inaugural Genera-Z Berbakti program in 2025 received more than 250 proposals from 98 universities in Indonesia and abroad.

Four winning teams from the University of Indonesia, University of Lampung, Sam Ratulangi University, and Gadjah Mada University carried out their community service projects with full support from BCA, including training, mentoring, and funding.

“BCA hopes that Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 can be a stimulus for university students to contribute to the nation’s development from early adulthood. This program is designed not only to bring real positive impact for society, but also to grow the leadership value, creativity, and social awareness among the young generation. We believe that the collaboration between the company and educational institutions is a form of collaborative work to create a wider and sustainable positive impact,” Hera added.
