Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has strengthened financial data reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and accountability of its unaudited 2025 financial report, through the reconciliation of SAKTI–SPAN data using the Monsakti application (20/01).
The initiative was emphasized during the Coordination Meeting on SAKTI–SPAN Data Reconciliation and the Review of BRIN’s Unaudited Financial Report at the UAPA level (BA 124).
Coordination Meeting Brings Together BRIN and Finance Ministry Officials
The meeting was held at the BRIN Thamrin Auditorium in Jakarta and involved BRIN’s internal units along with speakers from the Ministry of Finance.
The activity focused on aligning financial data and reviewing report readiness before external examination.
Inspector General Highlights Importance of Reconciliation Process
BRIN Inspector General Christianus Ratrias Dewanto stated that reconciliation is a crucial step to ensure financial report quality prior to an audit by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK).
“This reconciliation is not merely about matching figures, but ensuring all transactions, assets, and supporting documents are properly and consistently recorded. With a planned and accountable process, we hope BRIN’s financial statements remain high quality and free from material findings,” Christianus said.
He also stressed the need for work units to be prepared with complete documentation, accurate asset records, and proper expenditure account adjustments.
Secretary General Emphasizes Accountability and Digital Systems
BRIN Secretary General Nur Tri Aries Suestiningtyas appreciated the performance of all work units in maintaining report quality amid budget efficiency measures.
“Amid quite extensive efficiency policies, all units remain able to work responsibly. This shows that accountability and orderly financial management have become part of BRIN’s work culture and must be continuously maintained,” she said.
She highlighted the importance of digital financial systems to strengthen internal control and improve data reliability from planning to reporting.
Consistent Monsakti Reconciliation Supports Data Reliability
Joko Supriyanto from the Directorate of Accounting and Financial Reporting encouraged work units to consistently conduct SAKTI–SPAN reconciliation through the Monsakti application.
He said this approach helps maintain data alignment between ministries, institutions, and the central government financial system.
BRIN Head of the Planning and Finance Bureau, Lindawati Wardani, stated that reconciliation is the foundation for maintaining reliable financial reports from the initial preparation stage.
“This reconciliation is conducted to ensure alignment of financial transaction data, asset recording, and reporting within the government accounting system. With consistent data from the outset, the quality of BRIN’s financial statements can be better maintained and ready for review,” Lindawati said.
