PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) has officially rebranded its joint savings product with PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), changing the name e’Batarapos to Tabungan BTN Pos (09/01).

The rebranding aims to widen financial inclusion and accelerate the growth of low-cost funding (CASA).

BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu said the rebranding is designed to attract younger generations.

Customers can now make cardless transactions through the Bale by BTN app, using Pos Indonesia’s network that reaches even the 3T areas (underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost regions).

Cardless Banking to Reach Remote Regions and Young Customers

The e’Batarapos product, originally launched in 2005, has evolved into Tabungan BTN Pos, a technology-based solution for easier banking transactions.

Nixon explained, “With this rebranding, BTN and Pos Indonesia hope more customers in 3T areas and young people like Gen Z will be interested in using cardless banking transactions. This innovation is expected to make banking more accessible and inclusive.”

The cardless feature replaces traditional passbook transactions. Customers only need to use the Bale by BTN app to deposit or withdraw funds at post offices nationwide.

BTN Targets Rp5 Trillion in Low-Cost Retail Funding

The rebranding is also part of BTN’s plan to strengthen retail funding, targeting Rp5 trillion in low-cost deposits within the next year.

Nixon stated, “We will aggressively promote this product. Our target is clear: Rp5 trillion. Tabungan BTN Pos will be campaigned in areas where Pos offices are located, as these are strategic locations.”

Currently, BTN serves over 500,000 e’Batarapos customers, supported by almost 3,000 Pos offices across Indonesia. Nixon emphasized that the wider network increases the potential for collecting public funds through this collaboration.

Pos Indonesia’s Network Enables Nationwide Banking Access

Nixon noted that Pos Indonesia’s extensive network reaches regions where BTN may not be present. With most Indonesians owning smartphones, this strategy allows easier access to banking services and supports financial inclusion.

Acting President Director of Pos Indonesia Haris highlighted the long history of collaboration with BTN, spanning around 76 years.

“This cooperation has had its ups and downs and product changes, but the service spirit remains. From Tabanas, Batara, Batara Pos, to today’s Tabungan BTN Pos rebranding,” he said.

The partnership also launched cash in and cash out services, enabling customers to deposit and withdraw funds directly at post offices.

Modern Logo and Strategic Partnership Reflect New Era

The new Tabungan BTN Pos logo represents a modern transformation and the equal partnership of BTN and Pos Indonesia.

The logo combines BTN’s dynamic blue and Pos Indonesia’s delft blue, featuring an orange wing symbolizing “melesat” (soaring). Digital textures formed by dots illustrate the thousands of service points supported by technology.

Nixon added, “We hope to further develop technology to enhance products and services with Pos Indonesia, beyond funding collaboration. More Pos Indonesia customers can enjoy BTN’s financial solutions.”

The rebranding was launched during the BTN x PosIND Festival 2026, held from 05/01 to 09/01 at Jakarta Lapangan Banteng and Graha Pos Bandung. Customers opening accounts and activating Bale by BTN received benefits such as Bale Poin up to Rp350,000, souvenirs, special meals at Rp10,000, and coffee at Rp1.
