Five startups are set to receive Rp1.6 billion in funding at the [RE]Spark Clean Energy & Climate Startup Festival 2025 for clean-energy projects ready to be carried out in different regions of Indonesia.
The festival is organized by New Energy Nexus Indonesia together with the KINETIK NEX program, a partnership between Indonesia and Australia for clean-energy transition.
“Clean energy innovation cannot be focused only in big cities. We want every region in Indonesia to have the same opportunity to contribute and enjoy the benefits of the transition to a low-carbon economy,” said Diyanto Imam, Director of New Energy Nexus Indonesia, in Jakarta on Saturday.
Fifteen Startups Complete Business Development Program
In total, 15 startups joined a business development program designed to help them prepare proposals for clean-energy and climate-related pilot projects.
From these 15 participants, eight startups advanced to the final stage of the program.
Eight Finalists Present Pilot Projects on Demo Day
The eight finalists will present their clean-energy projects during Demo Day.
They include Difabike, which develops three-wheel electric motorcycle taxis for people with disabilities, and Energi Timur Nusa Power, which works on optimizing micro-hydro power plants in remote villages.
Also included are Gawirea (Girls and Women in Renewable Energy Academy), focusing on women’s empowerment in renewable-energy use and entrepreneurship; Ikanesia, producing low-emission animal feed from insects and microalgae; and Kuan Timor Teknologi, developing mospheric Water Generator and solar-powered desalination technology.

Festival Features Innovation Showcase and Climate Workshops
In addition to selecting the five clean-energy project winners, [RE]Spark 2025 will include an exhibition of climate and clean-energy innovation, along with climate innovation workshops that serve as collaborative spaces for exploring climate solutions and developing sustainable innovation.
The festival aims to mark an important step toward a clean, inclusive, and sustainable energy future for Indonesia, as well as highlight the strategic cooperation between Indonesia and Australia in supporting clean-energy transition and strengthening local innovation capacity.
