Bank Mandiri Expands Digital Banking Reach with KMILN Integration via Livin’ App

Bank Mandiri has reaffirmed its position as a strategic government partner by supporting the official launch of the Kartu Masyarakat Indonesia Luar Negeri (KMILN). The launch was held in South Korea, where more than 75,000 Indonesian citizens reside, according to South Korean immigration data from March 2025.

Bank Mandiri Deputy President Director Henry Panjaitan (appointed at the 2025 EGMS, effective after passing the OJK fit and proper test) said this service aims to meet the financial needs of the diaspora while expanding Bank Mandiri’s international presence.

The launch event was streamed live to all Bank Mandiri overseas branches. It was supported in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in South Korea as part of the bank’s 27th anniversary initiative themed “Sinergi Majukan Negeri.”

“Bank Mandiri is committed to providing inclusive and relevant financial solutions. The KMILN launch is an important synergy that makes it easier for the diaspora to stay connected with national banking services while supporting the digital acceleration of Bank Mandiri,” said Henry in an official statement, Wednesday (1/10).

Livin’ by Mandiri Enables Account Access with KMILN and Passport

KMILN is an official identity card for Indonesian citizens living abroad. Through this card, the diaspora can now open Bank Mandiri accounts using only their passport and KMILN via Livin’ by Mandiri.

The service provides easier banking access for Indonesians in South Korea and supports broader government efforts to serve citizens abroad. Bank Mandiri acts as a pioneer in enabling this digital access.

Bank Mandiri Super App Reaches 34 Million Users in 120+ Countries

As part of the #LivinAroundTheWorld initiative, Livin’ by Mandiri is now accessible in over 20 countries and supports users in more than 120 countries globally.

By July 2025, the app had reached over 34 million users, with total transaction value amounting to IDR 2,477 trillion. These figures position Livin’ by Mandiri as the largest financial super app in Indonesia and a key digital banking gateway for the diaspora.

Financial Features Tailored for Global Indonesian Communities

The app includes features such as Multi-Currency Savings, 24/7 foreign exchange transfers in 18 currencies, bill payment access to over 2,000 Indonesian billers, and Tap to Pay for everyday purchases.

It also includes lifestyle services through Livin’ Sukha and investment options in stocks, mutual funds, and bonds via Livin’ Investasi.

“We understand the diaspora needs practical, secure, and trusted services. That’s why Livin’ by Mandiri is designed as a one-stop financial solution that supports transactions and investments anytime and anywhere,” Henry added.

Bank Mandiri has also launched a rewards program for diaspora users who open accounts and transact through the app. The program includes first-account opening incentives, referral rewards, and investment benefits.

“Bank Mandiri will continue to strengthen its go-global steps through digital service development and strategic cooperation. We believe the diaspora plays an important role in supporting the national economy. With consistent commitment, Bank Mandiri is ready to provide the best services to all customers,” said Henry.
