Indonesia Banking Assets Ranking 2025: Top 10 Banks With Strongest Performance

Indonesia’s financial sector is entering 2025 with renewed strength, backed by solid capital expansion and disciplined lending strategies. The first half of 2025 has revealed one clear trend. Indonesia banking assets are growing across the board, with both state owned and private lenders showing steady progress. While profitability showed some variation, the expansion in total assets reflects healthy liquidity and strong loan demand nationwide.

Below is the complete ranking of the 10 largest banks by Indonesia banking assets in the first semester of 2025. Each bank has shown different strategies in growing assets, from consumer lending to corporate financing and CASA strengthening.

Its 11.38 percent year on year growth was powered by Rp1,655.99 trillion in total lending alongside Rp1,828.48 trillion in third party funds. CASA also rose 11.31 percent. Despite a slight net profit dip to Rp24.5 trillion, Mandiri remains the strongest foundation of Indonesia banking assets.

2. Bank Rakyat Indonesia - Leader In MSME Financing

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI) secured second place with Rp2,106.37 trillion in assets. Its 6.52 percent growth was sustained by massive MSME lending. More than 80 percent of its Rp1,416.62 trillion loan portfolio is tied to small businesses. DPK reached Rp1,482.12 trillion, supported by strong CASA expansion. Although profit corrected slightly to Rp26.28 trillion, BRI’s strategic role remains unmatched.

3. Bank Central Asia - Highest Profitability Among Top Banks

PT Bank Central Asia (BBCA) ranked third with Rp1,504.11 trillion in assets. Its 5.52 percent growth may appear modest, but BBCA remains the most profitable player. What This Ranking Means For Indonesia Banking Assets Outlook

The combined strength of these ten institutions reflects a healthy and competitive market. CASA growth remains a critical component for asset expansion, while loan distribution continues to drive long term returns. Although some banks experienced profit pressure, overall liquidity remains strong.

The second half of 2025 is expected to maintain this positive direction. With economic activity improving and credit demand rising, Indonesia banking assets are likely to continue expanding across both state owned and private players.
